Bursaries for Postgraduates

As part of the Methods Network's commitment to building a community of arts and humanities scholars who are using advanced ICT methods in their research, we have developed a bursary initiative to support postgraduate students.

Bursaries have been offered for the following activities:

Digital Resources in the Humanities and Arts (DRHA)

Bursaries are available for UK-based postgraduates with a paper on advanced ICT methods accepted for the Digital Resources in the Humanities and Arts (DRHA) conference.

Computers and the History of Art (CHArt)

Bursaries are available for UK-based postgraduates with a paper on advanced ICT methods accepted for the Computers and the History of Art (CHArt) conference.

Computing in History Teaching

Bursaries are available for UK-based postgraduates with papers accepted at the Distributed Ignorance and the Unthinking Machine: Computing in History Teaching conference organized by the UK branch of the Association of History and Computing (AHC-UK).

EVA (Electronic Visualisation and the Arts)

Bursaries are available for UK-based postgraduates with papers accepted at the EVA 2007 (Electronic Visualisation and the Arts) conference.

3DVisA Student Award

The Methods Network also sponsors the 3DVisA Student Award for an essay on an innovative application of 3D computer graphics to any area of study in the Arts and Humanities. The deadline for entries is 15 November 2007. The winner will receive a bursary to attend a UK conference of their choice. This Award is open to undergraduates and postgraduates.
